Hey Larry, your love for Ms. LeBlanc is well known.  You tout her on your blog as the best thing for the Village of Campton Hills. How about a little disclosure on your part? What is your relationship to B&B and other Kane County developers?  Wasn't your father a direct investor with B&B in several developments? As for you, the nut doesn't fall far from the tree...

In 2001 you started a Political Action Committee named "Campton Understands Responsible Expansion" with a then (and still current) B&B employee Janey English.  This PAC was set up for the  purpose of preventing the formation of the Village. Here is the link:

When you look at who donated money for your endeavor, it reads like a who's who of developers in Kane County: B&B, Fox Mill Limited Partnership, Inland Realty (Isn't this company the employer of Fox Mill's new attorney, Brian Fornek?), Hank Harrison, etc). So now you support Kristin Leblanc, the Prom Queen of the Developer's Ball! Is anyone surprised by this? We certainly are not.

So how about you admit that you are an anti-village/pro-developer blogger supported by all the developers out there doing business in Kane County. Don't pretend to be advocating for "responsible expansion", unless you explain that what you really mean is the continued rape and pillage of Campton Hills by those responsible: the Developers.  Don't pretend to be a friend of a rural lifestyle, when you have done everything you can to promote the area's Development by your father and friends, all at the expense of the rest of us residents.

As for Kristin, you keep up the charade that you are just some random resident that supports her because she seems on top of things. The residents of Campton Hills have a paper trail and record which shows otherwise:  Kristin and your agenda is to destroy the Village.  Man up and admit it Larry.  Then you can get back to your love fest and your agenda...

The Fire District is appointed by Kane County. Please tell us all what the Village of Campton Hills can do to stop the Fire District?  Better yet, tell us what the voters can do to stop the Fire District.

We now have video evidence of a resident of Fox Mill who has been bedazzled by Leblanc's foolery and deception. This resident was told that everything in Fox Mill is OK under Leblanc's stellar leadership. The HOA dues did not skyrocket, the open space is not falling part, and her friends at B&B are really angels in disguise. The clip below shows what happens to those who fall for this crap.

Imagine life without the (anti) Village Idiots....

When Fox Mill residents assumed control over the HOA from the developer, there was some bad blood.  The developer had a good gig going and did not want to leave.  As a result, the turnover was not a smooth one. Petty little things started happening.  Suddenly, trash was being strewn about Fox Mill.  There was suddenly graffiti in the neighborhood.  Poop bags were stolen from the Fox Mill parks.  And the developer's friends all ranted and complained to the new Board.  They wanted to make things difficult.  They wanted the new Board to regret having messed with the developer's good thing.

When the Village first came about, many of these same complainers opposed it.  They circulated petitions and set up inflammatory websites.  They organized disconnections and drove up legal fees. They filed constant document requests under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).  In short, they set about destroying the Village by not allowing it the chance to function. 

Every new body has its growing pains, and even in the best circumstances, the establishment of a new Village is going to face its challenges.  Patsy Smith has not been perfect.  But she has been handed an awful lot of S#*& by these people (not to mention the difficult economy).  The Village is still standing.  And Patsy Smith, after all of the mudslinging and obstacles thrown her way, still wants to serve that Village as its President.  That shows a toughness of character that we have not yet seen in her challenger. 

Imagine what this Village could be if we would all just stop fighting it, and work together to make it into something worthwhile....

What is going on here Leblanc. Campton Hills deserves to know...

WOW!  Way to take the wind out of my sails, Kristen.  I have been living for YOUR "97 Reasons" postings for weeks now.  It is bad enough that they are not the daily delight that you promised they would be, and I have to wait almost a week for updated "daily" entries.  Then, this last batch even SKIPPED a day (I think it may have been January 21 or something), so I guess I am going to only get "96 Reasons" now.  AND THEN, I read on your site that you are now looking for people TO WRITE THESE REASONS FOR YOU?  What is up with that?  These are supposed to be YOUR reasons for wanting to be President, Kristin! We want to hear what YOU think about the Campton Hills fireworks problem, and how the Village spent precious time defining the word "Family."  We want to hear how YOU don't want to dance with Newman (who, after the way you treat him, probably does not want to dance with you either), or how YOU think the developers should not have to pay fees.  WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!!  Otherwise, how are we supposed to know who you really are????

Let me guess.  It is because you are too busy, isn't it?  The signs are all there.  You have overextended yourself.  Passion Princess....  Queen of Fox Mill....  Reading lessons....

I don't like the shortcuts you are taking, Kristen.  Today it is "96 Reasons".  Tomorrow it may be more important things like not researching things before you declare your position.  Oh wait.  You already do that, don't you?  The residents of Campton Hills deserve better, Kristen.  We are very disappointed.

We would love to dance with Newman or Smith

Dear Kristin Lablanc: Your latest drivel labeled "97 reasons" has us wondering if you have any idea what it means to serve others in office. It is well known in Fox Mill  that you are obsessed with attorney Newman, and we do not think that is healthy for you or your loved ones (we assume someone loves you). But why would you post an email between Newman and Patsy Smith that shows what wonderful public servants they both are. I read the email and I see a Village President who receives a call from a resident of Fox Mill about flooding in her back yard. Instead of ignoring the problem, the Village President cares enough to call the then HOA president (a position you currently hold) and asks for assistance. Isn't that what a good Village President should do? Then, you have Newman, who is an attorney, take his time and go make a house call to address the Home owner's concerns? Which apparently turned out to be a creek behind this residents house that she had never noticed before.   I applaud Newman for helping out a neighbor and being more than just a figure head HOA president.

Did you post this email to show what you aspire to be, both as an HOA President and/or Village President? Well, we have the pleasure of knowing both Newman and Smith, and Kristin----you are neither!

I spoke with Patsy about this email because I was confused on what it meant, and how you got your hands on it. Imagine my surprise (NOT) when Patsy informed me that the email was given to B&B on one of their 687 FOIA request to the Village.  Hmmm, how did you get the email from B&B?  Oh wait, I forgot you do a little consulting work for them on the side and you are known in the Developers circle as little miss V.

So lets review what we know about you Ms. Leblanc:  You sell vibrators out of your garage (NTTIAWWT), you have never attended a Village Meeting, you have turned Fox Mill into the laughing stock of Kane County, you don't follow the law, you publicly announce your outrage that Developers are required to pay impact fees, your campaign is backed by Developers, you can't read and you have yet to come up with one original idea to give the voting public any reason to even consider you.



I think that about sums it up.

NOTE TO LEBLANC: If you want to be Village President, you really MUST learn how to READ!

Kristen's latest set of 97 Reasons includes a blurb about "Land Cash".  It states as follows: 

"Land Cash (cash in lieu) Ordinance passed in 2008 to make developers pay more.  Is $195 K per acre realistic in this down market.  Is Norton Lakes paying this amount and if so who is getting these inflated dollars?"

Okay-- I understand you are busy running your passion party business and being the sole person in charge of Fox Mill and all, so I will forgive the bad grammar and punctuation used above.  But, girlfriend, if you are going to complain about an ordinance, don't you think you should READ it first?  (I know it is a BIG, LONG 26-page document, so let me address just a few points (related to yours):

The LEGISLATIVE INTENT of the ordinance was NOT, as you say, "to make developers pay more."  Rather, it was to compel developers to contribute land for school purposes to support the current and future needs of the residents of the developers.  Where circumstances do not warrant the land donation, a cash payment in lieu of land is acceptable.  In other words, the ordinance was enacted to aide in supporting the infrastructure of the community that the developer was seeking to burden with its development.  The ordinance actually HELPS the regular people that you want to vote for you, Kristen.  It doesn't even really hurt your friends, the developers, either, as it ensures that the infrastructure of the developments that your friends are trying to promote can handle the increased student population, etc.  Call me crazy, but that probably benefits property values, don't you think?  This ordinance, in short, is a WIN-WIN for everybody!

As for the outrageousness of "$195 K" in this down market, we are back to that reading issue again, I am afraid.  Section 9-2-4 of the ordinance talks about a little thing called the "Consumer Price Index" and indicates that the $195K amount is subject to a "CPI Adjustment" every January.  So I am guessing, given the down market, that the $195K figure no longer applies.  By the way, the answer to this little issue can be found on page 6 of the ordinance.  I am a little disappointed that you did not make it to at least page 10 before returning to your coloring books.  Oh, one other point Ms. L, guess where that $195K figure comes from?  IT IS IDENTICAL TO THE FEE CHARGED FOR INCORPORATED ST CHARLES. Oops, I guess you were too busy to do a little research.

As for Norton Lakes, I don't know the answer to that question.  Sorry.  Maybe you should ask your neighbor, B&B Vice President Pat Griffin, as he has had significant dealings with the Norton Lakes project and I heard he also served as their attorney.

Really Kristen.  Your ability to look at issues in depth has me more and more concerned about what the heck you have been doing over at Fox Mill.  Maybe you SHOULD allow your fellow Board members to look at Fox Mill documents after all.


Finally,  thank you Leblanc for removing any doubt from the voters that you are running for President so you can protect the Developers. We here give you an "A" for your honesty on this issue.

DO YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH?

 
When I was in college, I decided to take a class entitled "Philosophy in Religion" (gotta love those expensive liberal arts educations, eh?).  It was a very interesting class, providing me with all sorts of background on a wide variety of different religions.  One day I was rambling on about the class to a very good friend of mine.  Let's call him "Frank".  Now "Frank" was very devout in his particular religious beliefs.  I told him that he might really enjoy the class.  He became very uncomfortable.  After some prodding, he confessed to me that he really did not want to learn about other belief systems.  Why?  Because "Frank" did not want to question what he had always held to be true.

Frank's response stunned me at the time, as I am one who wholeheartedly believes that what one holds out to be true can only be strengthened by learning everything you can about the subject and reaching your own conclusions.  Too often, people (like Frank) believe the first thing they are told, and they do not take the time to find out whether what they have been told is the truth.  In many cases, they do this out of laziness.  But, more often, they just do not want to accept the fact that they trusted the wrong people; or maybe, they were simply wrong.

This blog has not taken a kind view of Kristin Le Blanc.  Is it because we think that Kristin is a bad person?  No.  More precisely, it is because Kristin is exactly like my old friend, Frank. 

Kristin took over Fox Mill with an agenda based upon some information told to her by her embattled friends.  Was that information sound?  We do not believe so, but that is not what ultimately matters.  What matters is that Kristin did not ever stop to consider whether the agenda she was propounding was true or not.  The search for truth was simply not a search that interested Kristin. 

We know that Kristin and her friends follow our little blog.   Veiled references have been made to it by our neighbors at opposecamptonhills.com.  Kristin has stated on her voteleblanc website that she encourages others to seek out the truth.  She even posts links to other websites (including opposecamptonhills.com) where the truth, i.e., Kristin's truth, can be gleaned.

 But sometimes the truth is elusive, and sometimes the truth takes effort.  Don't trust what you read or what you are told unless you can verify what is being said.  The purveyors of this blog will continue to point out the lies, misinformation and deception coming from Kristin's band of merry Village destroyers, and when necessary or possible, we will identify where you can look to verify the information we provide. Perhaps Kristin and her friends will do the same.  We would love to see the evidence of the mythical tax increases the Village has thrust upon us, or a denial of her cozy relationships with Developers, but instead we get hollow promises and misdirection.

I believe the residents deserve to have public information available on the VCH website.  I would expect this to significantly decrease the FOIA request workload.

Here is the reality:  As President of the Fox Mill Home Owners Association, Leblanc has overseen a complete reduction in transparency. Not only does she REFUSE to supply important FMHOA documents on line to make it easy for residents to view, she also refuses to provide paper copies of HOA documents to residents and Board Members when they are requested. As a result of this obvious attempt to keep the residents ignorant or blind, two lawsuits have been filed against the Fox Mill HOA for its failure to provide documents. It does not make any difference that the covenants, by-laws and the law require these documents to be presented upon request, she just doesn't care.

So when Leblanc claims she wants to provide documents to the public in a simple, easy format (such as on-line), her actions speak louder than words.  Reality Bites!

If there were not enough reasons to "just say no" to Leblenc and her developer friends, we have just learned that this despicable candidate cheers for the green and yellow. First she wants to destroy the home town Village, and now she disrespects the home town team.  Shame on you lady!

The Hell Hole known as Fox Mill may be coming to you....

Kristen has FINALLY updated her website and added to her daily 97 reasons!!! I was actually starting to get worried that she had abandoned this wildly fun reading extravaganza, as she had not posted an entry since January 14th.  I have to say that this new batch is not quite as entertaining as her first few entries.  Kristen-- don't delegate the creation of these ideas!! We want to hear from YOU!!!!  I can see why you would be too busy to write them yourself, though.  I mean, you lead an amazingly busy life running your uber successful marital aid business from your garage.  Not to mention all the responsibilities you have taken on at Fox Mill!  I hear that the Fox Mill management company confirmed in open court today that you are the ONLY one on the Fox MIll HOA Board allowed to converse with them and you are the ONLY one allowed to see all of the humdrum documents, bids, etc. that the other Board members use to compile and vote upon the Fox Mill budget.  Fox Mill is a HUGE community!  Studying all of those documents ALL BY YOURSELF and then deciding which ones should be shown to the other Board members for consideration (not to mention, weeding out those which you decide to let the homeowners see) must take a MONUMENTAL AMOUNT OF TIME!  I can totally see why you are too busy to attend Village meetings as a result (although, I gotta say-- an appearance would have been nice, considering there was a Fox Mill matter on the agenda at the last Village meeting).  I think it is nothing short of awesome, though, how considerate you are being with the other Fox Mill Board members' time.  I mean, fiduciary stuff aside, who wants to go through each and every document in preparing to review and vote on that behemoth of a budget? How BORING would that be?  Yes-- it is FAR BETTER to do things YOUR way, Kirsten, and trust your AMAZING HEAD FOR DETAIL (we'll just call that botched candidacy petition a brain fart, okay?).  Because you are totally transparent, Kristen, and gosh darn it, PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!!

So why does Fox Mill matter in this election?  Well, you all should remember last week we blogged about judging a person by the company they keep. Kristen is a proud  lap dog of the local developers. Neither her, nor her supporters deny this and that is fine. Even rich developers need a voice. But beyond that, Kristen continues to tout her vast experience in Fox Mill which she alleges qualifiers her to run (and destroy) the Village. The Board of Directors for an HOA has one primary function--to create and adopt a budget.  Everything else is window dressing. Leblank pushed through a budget in Fox Mill with HUGE increases in operating expenses, with a simultaneous decrease in services.  Now we know how she did it--She didn't let any of the other board members see any of the bids, financials, etc. which any lab rat would want to see prior to voting on such an important document. Instead, according to the HOA attorney, Kristen was and is the only one allowed to see anything. That is not transparent, it is stupid and a recipe for disaster!

Fox Mill has become the joke of Kane County under the "leadership" of Leblank.  Ask any real estate agent in the area about the reputation of this community. Fox Mill is one step above the trailer park in South Elgin (because Fox Mill has a nicer pool) So if the voters of The Village of Campton Hills want the entire Village to mirror the hell hole known as Fox Mill, then you have your candidate with the experience to run the place into the ground: KRISTEN LEBLANK.

The folks over at Leblanc's web site opposecamptonhills.com appear to by vying for a sequel to the Hollywood blockbuster Dumb & Dumber. Having utterly failed to provide any basis to vote for adult sex toy business woman Kristen Leblanck, they now turn their attention to the Fire District. They claim the Village is responsible for the Fire District's recent disconnect from the City of St Charles.

NEWS FLASH to our mentally challenged friends over there: The FIRE DISTRICT IS ITS OWN LEGAL ENTITY. The Village has no control AT ALL over the doings of this government entity. NONE!

The Fire District can raise its own taxes, with no say from the Village.  None of the taxes paid to the Fire District can be spent on the Village. There is no relationship between the Village and the Fire District (no more so than Kane County and the Fire District).

So why do Leblanck and her friends over at opposecamptonhills.com spew this crap? Some say it is because they are all idiots, but not us.  We think they want to land a Hollywood sequel:

Why support the Village?

Leblanc wants to destroy and dismantle the Village for her developer friends. Why is it important for you to fight back? Simple: Because the Village, as a local entity, gives all of its residents a voice. You can walk into the Village at almost any time and the Village President, Patsy Smith, is there to greet you and discuss just about anything.  Try doing that with the County folks.

Tonight (1/18/11) the Village of Campton Hills is holding a Village meeting. Lots of important stuff to discuss, decisions to be made, etc. Running a Village takes time and commitment. So....you would expect someone who HAS NEVER ATTENDED A VILLAGE MEETING (other than to put on a horse and pony show for her failed application) and who is running for President of the Village to at least PRETEND she has an interest in the job, right?  But noooooooo....

Some one needs a time out.

Kristen is apparently too busy to attend these silly meetings. Maybe she is afraid to show up because one of the agenda items is the fine levied on Fox Mill for their illegal rental of the Barn house. Apparently the Fox Mill HOA has ignored the written and verbal warnings from the Village and renewed an illegal lease for one of B&B's close friends. Who is in charge of the defiant Fox Mill HOA?--Why, none other than Kristen Leblanc. She can't fill out a form, she can't attend Village meeting and she can't follow the law. With such a stellar resume, you wonder why she is not running for Congress.

Apparently, our little blog has caught the attention of Kristen's friends over at opposecamptonhills.com.  We welcome their viewing, and would invite them to post a link to our little website (just as we have done with theirs).  They have dubbed us the "conspiracy theory" website, and we take no offense at that.  A conspiracy theory is defined as "a theory seeking to explain a disputed case or matter as a plot by a secret group or alliance rather than an individual or isolated act."  And to the extent that Kristen and her friends dispute or downplay alliances we KNOW to be true (like Kristen's links to B&B-- just look at whose personal secretary notarized Kristen's failed candidacy petition), and to the extent that Kristen makes promises that we KNOW (from sad past experience) she will not keep (transparency anyone?  Kristen does not even allow her hand-picked Board members view all the documents which go into the Fox Mill budget).... then, gosh darn it, maybe we ARE "conspiracy theorists."  Except that what we are reporting are truths, so change that to conspiracy truthfinders.  Yes.  That categorization would be closer to the truth.

So, you will not be finding Elvis in Campton Hills.  And we are not actually looking for the elusive Linda Creviston either.  We are just concerned residents of Campton Hills, much like Kristen's friends at opposecamptonhills.com.  We don't love our current situation, but we KNOW that Kristen LeBlanc would be far worse for Campton Hills.  No conspiracy theories are needed for that conclusion.  Every complaint that Kristen's friends have made about our current leadership can be found tenfold in Kristen.  Just look at the fiscal mess Kristen has created in Fox Mill.... to the extent that you can find any accurate documents, that is.

OOOOH, I LIKE THIS IDEA

Leblanc and her cronies have an idea.  They want to video tape and show the Village meeting on local TV.  (We're sure the local Campton PBS station would love to have this titillating program)  WOW, why didn't Patsy think of that? This way Leblank could actually witness what real public servants do, since Leblanc HAS NEVER ATTENDED A SINGLE VILLAGE MEETING!

Let's not spend tens of thousands of dollars of taxpayer's money to televise a public meeting to show at 2:00 a.m. with other infomercials. Besides, won't that compete with LeBlank's daytime job?

Here is our idea--Let's save the money for something important like roads, parks and libraries. If Leblank and her friends want to see how a local government operates, car pool together and attend in person.  I dare you!

We all know that it has been reported that Ms. Leblanc runs a "marital aid company" from her home. On one of her web pages she chastises and blames current Village President Patsy Smith for the decline in the Village's population. A recent article in a men's health magazine finds a coralation between male infertility and the use of sex toys. READ ARTICLE HERE

We are not sure of the connection, as we are Bloggers, not Doctors, but we would advise Ms. Leblanc to be careful who she blames. It appears Leblanc's own activities have more to do with the shrinking tax base than anything attributable to Patsy Smith. Just something to think about today while you enjoy the Chicago Bears football game.

Is this on Kristin's agenda?

The Village of Campton Hills was formed to preserve our rural lifestyle. Prior to the formation of the Village, large developers  were able to build monstrosities like Fox Mill without regard to the real impact on our lifestyle. In some instances some large Developers  reportedly abandoned their developments prior to completion, leaving the residents with a huge mess. Now we have a Village in place to protect us from unscrupulous developers. If you want to build anything in the Village you have to go through a process (not rubber stamped like the County use to do) and you have to pay a real impact fee. This also means the Village can prevent commercial developments which are undesirable...say like an adult bookstore. Kristin runs her "marital aid company" from her home according to the January 12, 2011 Campton Hills Examiner.  We can all imagine why Leblanc would want to lower the standards in our Village and allow her or others to open commercial space selling battery operated personal pleasure devices and such.  We don't want this business here and the undesirable clientèle it will attract. We don't want to go back to the days where no one was watching out for us. Let's continue to move forward, not backwards.

Support the Village and reject Kristen Leblanc. Kristen and her supporters  have pledged to destroy the Village. Let us all stand together and once again tell these people NO!

Kristen's website wants us to be informed.  In KRISTEN'S OWN WORDS (or at least those written for her by her developer team):  "When I [Kristen Le Blanc] decided to run for President of Campton Hills, the first thing I learned was how important it is to research issues.  By this, I [Kristen Le Blank] mean credible facts from reliable sources - not just chatter and whisper.  There's a lot of information available on the internet, but as you've probably learned, anyone can put anything up on the web.  Look for supporting documents; meeting minutes, court documents, ordinances, budgets.  Don't rely on what someone told you; dig into it for yourself and use good judgment in deciding fact versus fiction."

AWESOME, right?  Kristen filed her failed candidacy papers in December and given the last minute condition of her filings, we can surmise that Kristin figured out the importance of researching issues right around the time she asked Carolyn Higgins (when filing her last minute application) (a) what district we lived in (which signified that she had the wrong form) and (b) "what is an economic interest statement?"   This certainly explains a great deal about the way she has run the Fox Mill HOA.

But here is the REAL IRONY:  Kristen wants us to be informed and "dig" into matters so that we can use "good judgment in deciding fact versus fiction."   Then why have lawsuits been filed against the Kristin's Fox Mill HOA for failing to allow homeowners access to documents?  Why is Kristen the target of a contempt proceeding right now for failing to obey a court order to turn over documents to a wrongfully ousted board member?  Why did Kirsten's lawyer say in open court that Kristen was the ONLY person entitled to see the majority of Fox Mill documents that went into comprising the Fox Mill budget?

Why does she tell us to dig in on the one hand, but then block her neighbors attempts to do so?

Random thoughts on Leblanc

Kristen has updated her "97 reasons" why you should elect her as President again, good readers, and I encourage you to visit her website and indulge.  For those unfamiliar with this web gem, Kristen has decided to publish a reason why you should anoint her as Queen for every day, stemming from her defective filing until the election.  As one who has been following the soap opera that is Fox Mill for the last couple of years, these "97 reasons" postings have truly become the highlight of my day.  I mean, they make me smile on so many levels (I get a tingling sensation).  Some for their complete stupidity (e.g., the Fireworks crisis blogged below).  Others for their ironic undertones (Kristen pretending to be shocked by the Village's spending on legal fees still makes me chuckle).  Today we saw two new entries by Kristen and her "team" that fall essentially into the ironic category.  Imagine, Kirsten trying to explain why she is upset by a "president" limiting volunteerism or controlling when and who gets to see what. Oh my, this race is going to be so much fun to watch. There were two entries added, because Kristen doesn't actually post her reasons every day.  (You see, Kirsten doesn't even follow her own rules-- that is more irony, I think).  I really don't mind the delay, though.  It heightens my anticipation, and I like that she is actually taking her time and giving each entry that special Leblanc style..... So if you haven't visited her website yet, I really encourage you to do so.  Especially when you have had a bad day.  I am smiling again just thinking about her next entry.....

OMG Campton Hills has a Fireworks problem...

Hold the presses folks.  Write in candidate Kristen LeBlanc vows on her web site that she will do something (no one knows what as Kristin has still yet to identify a single thing which she will do if elected) to combat the Village Firework's dilemma.  We think it is about time that our elected leaders stop wasting their time and our money on such tasks such as securing a great, local police department.  Heck, if we eliminate the firecrackers in Campton Hills, we probably don't even need a police department.

I am sure all the land developers will be crawling out from under their rocks to finance and support your campaign.   After all, spending a little scratch for you is a heck of a lot cheaper than paying impact fees to the Village as they turn our rural community into a parking lot. Money well spent folks.

Campton Hills Village Clerk Carolyn Higgins refuses to certify Kristen LeBlanc to the Ballot.

Today, the Village of Campton Hills  Clerk certified the ballot for the upcoming election for the Village of Campton Hills President. Even though Ms. Higgins is a self proclaimed hater of all things Village and a lover of developers like B&B, she did the right thing and refused to put Kristin on the upcoming Ballot.  Patsy Smith will be running unopposed for the position of Village President on the ballot. Kristen will be relegated to running as a write it candidate.  Following the law is good thing, don't you think? After hearing the news, there was much rejoicing and dancing in the Village:

 Boy, who knew Jean Claude Van Damme had such moves, or even cared about the Village.

THERE IS A TYRANT IN FOX MILL WHO WANTS TO CONTROL THE VILLAGE:  Do we really want her power expanded any further?

Kristin and her supporters complain about the tyranny of Queen Patsy, yet Kristin would appear to be even more power hungry.  At a contempt of court proceeding against Kristen on January 12th  (for failing to obey a court order), Kristen's lawyer stated in open court that Kristen was the ONLY Fox Mill Board member  who was entitled to see the majority of documents, including vendor bids, and financials, etc. used to make and pass the Fox Mill budget. Mind you, all of the other board members raised their puppeted hands in support of the "Kristen's Eyes Only" budget.  This is probably because Kristen is as honest and transparent as she seems.....

Sure.  We will just take your word for it, Kristen, that the reason you don't want ANYBODY else to see your handy work  at Fox Mill is because you have nothing to hide.  We know it cannot be your vigilant adherence to details because you could not even file a proper petition for Village President......

Don't remain silent good citizens of Campton Hills, our Founder Fathers are watching.....

Today, if you are one of the unlucky ones who lives in Fox Mill, you received a flyer in the mail entitled "Fox Mill News & Highlights". Imagine our chagrin when on the front cover of this rag is a lovely letter from the Fox Mill Board President Kristen Leblanc.  In this community newsletter she solicits donations for her campaign and asks  the good people of Fox Mill to support her. It must be nice to use the resources and vendors of Fox Mill for her personal use. Isn't she the same person who bitched about Patsy Smith using the Village phone to call the Village attorney when Leblank filed her flawed petition? How do you spell HYPOCRITE?

One other thing.  Why would anyone want the Village run by Fox Mill? Fox Mill has more problems than an injured chicken in a pirhana tank.

Over the coming weeks we are going to explore the real costs of electing someone like Ms. Leblank to run our Village.  We have already touched upon a few, but we think it is important to know as much as possible about this election since we are stuck in such a horrible economy right now, and money matters.

Several have asked if it is OK to post and if so can they remain anonymous.  We don't care whether you identify yourself, but we do not want any inflammatory comments or personal attacks on anyone.  Ask questions, give an opinion, make an argument. Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords remains in intensive care following surgery at the University of Arizona Hospital for a gunshot wound to the head at close range.  Dr. Manny Alvarez, senior managing health editor of FoxNews.com, said surviving a gunshot wound to the head is rare, but not unheard of – and Giffords is in for a long fight.

Alvarez said the survival rate of a gunshot wound to the head is about 5 percent – and 3 percent of those who do survive will always have a neurological deficiency, such as memory loss or a lack or motor skills.

“It all depends on where the bullet goes,” he said. “Your best chance of survival is from front to back, if you get shot side to side, the survival rate is less, and it all depends on the damage the brain has.”

In other news, Fox News is reporting that the Village of Campton Hills used valuable time in defining the word "Family". Outraged by this obvious lack of judgment, candidate for Village President  Kristin Leblank is quoted on her web site

"What was so pressing in VCH that they felt they needed to define a "family".  Who were they targeting with this one.  Used up valuable planning commission time on several occasions to get this one done.  WHY?"

A call to Ms. Leblank went unreturned. Our investigative reporters did contact the officials at Kane County Illinois and were informed that the VCH's definition of "Family" was copied directly from the Kane County Ordinances. Apparently it is some type of legal mumbo-jumbo.  Sources within several local governments have also confirmed that most local governments in Kane County have adopted this very same definition. Undaunted, Fox News' own Geraldo Rivera has been sent to Kane County Illinois to further investigate. Film Report at 11:00.

Who do you trust?

The left wing kooks who have been attacking the Village, and in particular Village President Patsy Smith have been trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.  Apparently Ms. Smith provided sworn testimony last week at the election board meeting to determine whether Leblanc's numerous errors on her petition to run for office should preclude Leblanc's candidacy. During her testimony Ms. Smith said she could not remember who called the Village attorney after Leblanc turned in her flawed application. Hold the presses people: Apparently this lack of memory disqualifies Ms. Smith! Oh my my, what a disaster. I mean, come on folks, how can you expect a person to lead us if they can't recall who called the damn lawyer?

Well, that should be the deciding factor in this election, don't you think?  But wait a minute.....let's take a deeper look at the real issue.  Patsy raised her right hand and told people the facts under oath.  What did Kristin say when she took the stand?  We have the video right here:

You see people, Kristin either did not have the guts to tell her side of the story, or she was afraid to raise her right hand and go under oath.  She offered nothing to refute the challenge against her petition. She said nothing, she did nothing. For this she fails!

So you have to ask yourself this simple question---Who do you trust: A candidate who is not afraid to answer questions, or one who hides from them?

...that for over 3 years the Developers and Village haters have been claiming that the Village is a bad idea because it only means more taxes for less services. Yes, that is correct.  That has been their rallying cry since the Village was just an idea in someone's head.  They fought and fought and fought at every turn to stop the Village and then destroy the Village, all under the guise that they were protecting YOU.  Well guess what Campton, THEY LIED TO YOU!!

Since the Village was first formed, there has not been a single tax increase to residents related to the Village.  NOT ONE! As for services, we now have a police department that responds in seconds to your call, not hours like it used to be to get a County Sheriff. That is called progress.

But let's get back to Kristen's Village hating diatribe. The Tax Increase is in fact real for some in Campton Hills.  You see, prior to the Village the Developers were required to pay a minimum impact fee to build their neighborhoods. The impact fee paid for roads and other infrastructure needed for the additional residents and traffic that development always brings.  Now the Village comes along and creates a real impact fee on the Developers. JUST LIKE EVERYWHERE ELSE.

So who is pissed off by this? THE DEVELOPERS. The one Developer that has taken the lead on this attack---well we all know who that is don't we----B&B Enterprises. They don't like the Village because it costs them money. So for more than 3 years now they or their related companies have hired lawyers to attack the Village and financed virtually every single attack against the Village, including many candidates.  This includes Kristen. Does anyone think it is a coincidence that Kristen hired the same attorney to attack the Village as B&B did?  I wonder who is actually paying for the legal services?

Time and time again the Developers attack the Village, and each time they lose.  Who else loses?  You do ~ Because these attacks have cost the taxpayers over $1,000,000.00.  How do we know this?  Because Kristen touts this on her web page, as if she is somehow proud. For $1,000,000.00 we could have built a beautiful recreation center for our children, a library, or even LOWERED our taxes.

How to sell a product....

I have been in sales most of my adult life, and have been very successful.  I was blessed with a wonderful mentor in my first job out of College, selling computer software for a medium sized company out of California. She told me something that I have used ever since, and which most successful sales people will agree: If your best sale's pitch is dissing your competition, then you have already lost the sale. Most people don't buy products because another product is inferior to yours. You sell a product by convincing your customer that your product is superior to the competition, or better yet, that you don't even have any competition. To put in terms for the average Joe, just because Ford makes shitty cars, it does not mean that Chevys are better.  The only sales people who try to make sales in this fashion are those who don't have a good product to sell.

Why am I talking about sales on this blog? Because Kristen has yet to identify any reason to vote for her. Her sales pitch is "Patsy sucks". OK, let's assume that is true.  Why would this lead you to vote for Kristen? What positive attributes does she possess? What will she do to make your life better? I have not heard a single mention of anything that qualifies Kristen to run or what she would do in a positive manner to make our lives better. In other words, she is selling a shitty product. That is my thought on the matter.

Declining population?

Kristen's fantasy web page claims the population of Campton Hills has declined while Patsy Smith has been the Village President. I don't know whether that is true, but I will give her that. I suppose Kristin is claiming this is Patsy's fault. O.K. I guess only idiots who move into Campton Hills under Patsy's leadership.  Seems like a decent point.

So here's the question Kristen? When did you move into the district? Well readers, I will tell you when....just a few years ago during Patsy's tenure as President!  Does that make Kristen an idiot?  Of course not, but the point is to even make such a suggestion is goofy. If Smith is responsible for people moving from the Village, then Kristen, as president of the HOA must be responsible for the 16 homes in Fox Mill which are in foreclosure. I guess these residents of Fox Mill are so disenchanted with Kristin that they ran away from their house and forgot to pay their bill.  Oh, and all the other people in Fox Mill with for sale signs are also because of Kristen?

How much money are Kristin's developer friends going to spend on Kristin's write in campaign to destroy the Village? I am going to guess $25,000.00 or more.

I have now officially seen it all. Kristin's fantasy web page (voteleblanc.com) touts that we should vote for her because of the "Legal Costs" of the Village. LMFAO. Dear Kristin, you and your developer friends have hired the lawyer that filed numerous disconnect petitions against the Village. Your own lawyer cost the Village over $1,000,000.00. But that is not the funniest part of Kristin's fantasy. As President of the Fox Mill HOA, in just 6 months, she was went over budget on legal expenses by over 600%. But it does not end there.  Next year  Kristin and her fellow clowns on the HOA Board budgeted over $350,000.00 for legal expenses for 2012.  That is about 25% of the entire budget. Showing their fine fiscal common sense, Kristin and the Board vowed to spend over $200,000.00 to fight an $80,000.00 legal invoice. That is just embarrassing.

Yea, this is type of leadership this Village needs.  ;^)  Do we really need Fox Mill running the entire Village?  I don't think so.  Stay tuned.....

FYI...Here is some more information you should probably know about Kristin Le Blanc:


Kristin Le Blanc just moved here about 3 years ago.  She is currently the HOA president for Fox Mill on a B and B sided HOA board.  Just voted into that position about 6 months ago.   It appears that she is being put up to run for this by somebody on the B and B side..

FYI:     Her petition signatures look like a B&B roll call. Out of 44 names, 30 are B&B family or insiders.
And the notary is Ken Blood's own secretary!

44 signatures was the MINIMUM required to run.  She ran in the door of the village, at the last second of the last day of a one week period of which she could have submitted her name to run.  She did not have all the required documents to run.

 She will not be allowed to be on the ballot as her application was not complete(i.e. she did not have and had not submitted her economic interest survey to the county as required by law), but, it does appear she is going to try and run as a write in with support from B and B.

She has NEVER attended a Village Board meeting before, and would know nothing about running a village or anything about Kane county government!

As you probably agree, Patsy is the most knowledgeable person around about ordinances, village and county government, grants, and what it takes to keep Campton Hills running smoothly.  We are lucky she is willing to give it a go for 4 more years.  We have to get her re elected.

Looks like the fox is trying to run the hen house,  AGAIN.  B&B has failed at every attempt to destroy the Village, so now they have enlisted the help of the Village Idiot(s). Stay tuned to this saga......

.....Can you REALLY trust a candidate running for political office when that candidate has NEVER attended a single Village meeting?  Not one. Zip. Zilch. Nada.


...Also, Kristin says she wants to return Campton Hills to the way it used be.  Really?  How would she know how Campton Hills used to be...Kristin moved to Illinois after the Village was formed.
